Overview

Your tour begins in the hustle bustle of Circular Quay, where commuters rush to catch ferries and street performers vie for your attention. Together we will head to the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House — this country’s greatest nod to high culture.

Sydney Opera House

You’ll tour the Opera House and learn about its controversial history, its avant-garde architecture and its contribution to Sydney’s rich performing arts scene. Find out about the creative inspiration for those giant sails!

The Rocks

The tour continues with a walk through the cobblestone laneways of the historic ‘Rocks’. The Rocks was once a slum. Poverty, disease, crime and infamous characters were hallmarks of this place. Evidence of this has been preserved in archaeology and colourful stories. Today, you’ll find the area charming. Tiny bluestone cottages are nestled amongst grander homes of various architectural heritages. After the tour, relax at one of The Rocks’ colourful old fashioned pubs— some of which date back to the seedy beginnings of this portside town.
