Australia’s indigenous people are one of the earth’s oldest cultures.  Their attitude that they are not separate from their environment, that they, themselves are one with “Country”. This profound wisdom is the basis of sustainability and it is has inspired us at Southern Secrets to commit to making our footprint a lot lighter!

Carbon Neutral

All our vehicles are registered with GreenFleet, meaning that we are compensating for our emissions by planting native forests.  All our travel and tours are on foot, public transport or in carbon offset vehicles.  We have also put procedures in place in our offices that avoid the unnecessary use of electricity and paper.

 We buy local

We at Southern Secrets use only local suppliers.  All the consumables for our tours are carefully selected to guarantee minimal impact on the environment (eg. local spring water in recycled plastic bottles).

 We raise the awareness of our clients, suppliers and stakeholders

 During our tours we have the opportunity to deliver some key messages and information to our clients.  The Aboriginal custodians of this land have spent thousands of years living in balance with the environment. We take this philosophy to heart and share it with others.  Southern Secrets wants to see all of us commit to a healthier planet and a bright future.
